Also known as Hoodie Girl Snake Girl (by Kishibe)
Character profile
Background
Akane Sawatari is a Gun Devil contractor who runs support for Katana Man during the assault on Division 4. Her weapon is the Snake Devil, a massive black serpent that swallows enemies whole and spits them back up in whatever shape she wants. She is cold, competent, and treats the massacre of Division 4 as a routine job.
When the raid turns against her in episode 12 she is captured alive. The show gives her exactly one scene to break under interrogation, and then the Snake Devil breaks free of her control and eats her from the inside on orders from somewhere above her head. She dies with her mouth open on a punchline that has not been delivered yet.
